Pretty much what I did. Once I realized my freelance editor position wasn’t going to pay my rent, I quit that job for a regular job and now I just write on the side. I like it way more since I get to write about what I want and I can now pay my rent on time (somewhat important) AND travel as much as my paycheck lets me (very important).

Michelle Rhee is an amazing woman. I was lucky enough to interview her last year, right before the midterm elections. She blew me away.
Many think she’s a hardass - but I think she has to be like that in order to get things done. She did so much for the D.C. public school system. She thought outside the box and never gave up, even when half the state hated her.
Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do. You hear that Obama? It’s okay not to be liked as long as you are getting the job done.
